Board of Directors 

President - Zahir Latheef

Zahir Latheef graduated with a BBA and MS in Accounting from Texas A&M, his hometown university in College Station. During this time, he served as President of the MSA, as well as on the board of the local masjid, ICBCS. He has worked extensively with the MSA Lone Star Council, a coalition of MSAs in Texas, in the capacity of Vice Chair, Outreach, and Ex-Officio. He also served on the staff of COMPASS as Faculty Coordinator. Zahir is currently at the University of Houston pursuing a Ph.D. in Management with an emphasis in Organizational Behavior. He lives with his wife and daughter in Houston, TX.

Vice President, USA – Aamna Anwer

Aamna Anwer is a graduate of Northwestern University where she received her Bachelors in Spanish. She was an active member of her MSA and worked in a number of committees throughout her college career. Aamna served as a chair of MSA Chicago, an initiative by the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago. Additionally, she was a co-chair for the 2010 MSA National annual continental conference.

Treasurer – Aisha Noor

Aisha Noor is concurrently completing her BA and pursuing her MA in Political Science at the University of Texas at Dallas where she is a member of the Collegium V Honors Program, a Student Ambassador for the University, as well as an active member of Student Senate. Aisha served as Texas Regional Representative for the Muslim Youth of North America (MYNA), was an elected member of MYNA’s Executive Board as Events and Conferences Chair, and went on to serve as Secretary of the MSA Lone Star Council. This experience combined with her passion for law and human rights has given Aisha the opportunity to work with the Innocence Project of Texas and has led to her selection as an Archer Fellow in Washington D.C.

Zonal Representatives 

East Zone USA – Muhammad Sattaur

Muhammad Sattaur is currently a student at Drexel University, in his third year as a psychology major. He was born in Guyana, South America but has lived in the United States for the majority of his life. He is an active member of his local community in various capacities. His previous work with his local MSA saw him elected as a Public Relations officer and subsequently Vice President in his sophomore year. He is currently Vice President for Sara International Travel and plans on attending Medical School.
